Swimming with dolphins in bimini!
Just have to share my fantastic dolphin experiences on Bimini in July 2010. We had the most beautiful encounters with the wild dolphins - on one occasion having over 20 share their time and their activity with us!
We had dolphins every day - and only on the last day were we unable to get in the water with them because it was a bit choppy.
On one occasion a group of young dolphins were engaged in a "rough and tumble" with adults cruising around keeping a watchful eye on them and on us as we almost became part of the action!
We are strictly instructed not to reach out and touch the dolphins (and how tempting it is when they come so close!). However, that rule does not apply to them and I was gently pushed aside by one of the bigger dolphins - and as it's hardly likely to have been accident given that they are much better swimmers than I am, perhaps she was just keeping me out of the way of the juveniles who seemed to be playing a game of tag!?
The dolphins this year were very "up close and personal", swimming in close proximity to us and looking us directly in the eye. I also felt they enjoyed teasing us - I had two young ones swim directly toward me, and as I flustered over what I should do as they got closer and closer, they simply veered off and swam past either side of me.
And how many times did we gear up and get on and off the boat! They came, we jumped in, so they shot off, we got out, they came back, we jumped in again, they shot off again, we got back on the boat - and wouldn't you know it - back they came!
This can be a very tiring holiday with all the action! But how addictive it is! This was my eighth time on Bimini and I'm already looking forward to the next visit . Many of the group were also returnees of many years standing. .
I also had the privilege of running workshops for the group, including self-hypnosis, the law of attraction, the power of intention, etc. and we had some very interesting discussions on the power of positive feelings and how we create our reality.
